While the desktop update mostly focused on improved speed, the Android version actually includes a number of new features. The most important of these is probably the new fullscreen mode for phones.
You can open and close full-screen mode in Google Chrome using keyboard shortcuts or the browser controls. In full-screen mode, the browser controls are hidden, but the menu can be reactivated by hovering over the appropriate location on your computer.
Chrome for Android already has a fullscreen mode, but as of 4.0, Android supports immersive full screen mode, which in addition to hiding the notification bar, also hides the back/home/switcher buttons at the bottom of many phones.
